Refund & Cancellation Policy
How deposits, cancellations, and refunds work for audit engagements and related reviews.

This policy applies to professional services offered by Center Wise — application audits of payroll management applications, configuration reviews, pre-migration readiness reviews, and follow-up remediation checks. It does not cover product sales, subscriptions, or physical goods; we do not offer those.
Eligibility for refunds
Fees relate to professional time and reserved calendar space. Refund eligibility depends on when notice is given and how much work has begun.
Deposits
Engagements with a quoted fee above ¥500,000 require a 30% deposit on signature of the letter of engagement. The deposit reserves auditor time and confirms the fieldwork window.
Cancellation by the client
- More than 14 days before fieldwork start: deposit refunded minus a ¥50,000 administrative charge (or the full deposit if lower than ¥50,000 and no vendor access costs were incurred).
- 8–14 days before fieldwork start: 50% of the deposit is refundable.
- 7 days or fewer, or after fieldwork has started: deposit is non-refundable. Work completed to date is invoiced on a time basis against the engagement fee; any unused portion of prepayments for work not yet started may be discussed in good faith but is not guaranteed.
Cancellation by Center Wise
If we must cancel for reasons within our control (for example auditor unavailability without a suitable replacement), we refund prepaid amounts for work not performed in full. You may instead agree to reschedule without additional fee.
Rescheduling
One reschedule with at least 10 days’ notice is usually accommodated without charge, subject to calendar availability. Short-notice reschedules may incur a fee of up to ¥80,000 to cover preparation already completed.
No-shows
If agreed interview or on-site sessions are missed without 24 hours’ notice, that day may be charged as delivered. Replacement sessions are scheduled when capacity allows.
Work already started
Once evidence review or fieldwork has begun, fees for completed stages are due. Partial refunds, if any, apply only to stages not commenced, at our discretion and documented in writing.
Purchased materials
If an engagement required purchase of third-party reference materials or certified extracts specifically for your project, those costs are non-refundable once ordered with your approval.
Follow-up remediation checks
Cancellations more than 7 days before the check receive a full refund of prepayment. Inside 7 days, a 30% cancellation charge applies.
Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payer by bank transfer within 20 business days of written approval. We do not process card chargebacks through this website; no online checkout exists here.
How to request a refund or cancel
Email hello@center-wise.digital with your engagement reference, or call +81 3-5730-3100. Include the organisation name and scheduled fieldwork dates. We confirm receipt within two business days.
Exceptions
Statutory cooling-off rights that mandatorily apply under Japanese law remain unaffected. Engagement letters may state additional terms for multi-phase programmes; where conflict exists, the signed letter prevails for that engagement.
